Pinder House YMCA, as the Managing Agent of YMCA England’s housing scheme, welcomes applications for supported housing from people from all backgrounds.
Local Profile
Pinder House YMCA consists of 10 self contained bedsits in the centre of the market town of Skipton. We provide accommodation as a step to independent living for young people aged 16 to 25 and encourage these people to take control of their lives and makes positive steps in their lives. As well as housing we offer a range of support, budgeting, emotional support, help finding work, getting into college.

Additional Opportunities Available at Pinder House YMCA
We offer support around life skills, cooking, personal care etc. We also have good links with the local voluntary sector and a number of our residents have found great value in working in the community while not working or to fit in around college hours.
We also encourage our residents to participate in youth achievement awards and recently a resident organised a charity fashion show which was a great success.
Homelessness Services Available at Pinder House YMCA
We can offer a mediation service for those young people who are at risk of being made homeless by their parents and even if we cannot house a young person we always try and help them find accommodation within the area if possible using our local links with the council, housing associations and private landlords.
